Farmer drones

How are Farmer drones useful?

Farmer drones are really useful tools for many reasons including making it easier to spray and keep up crops, applying pesticides,  help farms run more efficiently by locating problem spots in vast fields or ranchlands, track animals, and checking crops. They are also useful for Flying over fields is faster than driving through them, and using remotely controlled drones is cheaper than hiring a plane.

How are Farmer drones Harmful?

The article says that officials were worried that a small drone could collide with a helicopter or small plane. drones could crash and destroy parts of fields/crops as well as causing injury to operators, farmworkers, or the general public.

My opinion

I think that farmer drones are really effective and I think farmers should continue using them because the drones get a lot of stuff done faster and they are really helpful by making it easier to spray and keep up crops, applying pesticides,  help farms run more efficiently by locating problem spots in vast fields or ranchlands, track animals, and checking crops.

Who do i think will win the 2020 Presidential election?

I think Joe Biden will win the 2020 Presidential election. You say why, for 1 he is ahead in electoral votes but you might say Hillary Clinton was ahead in electoral votes and she didn’t win, yes that is true but this is what happened with Hillary Clinton. Hillary Clinton’s lead went down nearly 6% points between Oct. 18 and Nov. 3, before going up a bit at the end and Trump was accelerating in those final two weeks. This election Trump has no acceleration. Biden’s in the lead at a healthy 7.2 points. Biden’s lead has never been smaller than four points. Biden’s lead has not changed in either direction by more than half of a percentage point. Trump was never been ahead of Biden, which has been tracked since September 2019. People feel he could have done more in the U.S. regarding the COVID-19 pandemic. Joe Biden said “The first step to beating the virus is beating Donald Trump”, and he promised he would retain the nation’s leading infectious disease expert, Dr. Anthony Fauci, whom the president has talked about the firing. (“In 2020 finale, Trump combative, Biden on offense” AP news Nov. 3, 2020). Donald Trump could have used the tragic death of George Floyd and Breonna Taylor to voice and fight against race issues and police brutality instead he continued to accept and fan the flames of racial division. “We’re done with the chaos, we’re done with the tweets, the anger, the hate, the failure, the irresponsibility,” said Biden, whose campaign has focused on increasing turnout for Black voters, who could prove the difference in several battleground states. (“In 2020 finale, Trump combative, Biden on offense” AP news Nov. 3, 2020). To win the 2020 Presidential election Joe Biden simply has to maintain the lead he currently holds in Arizona, Nevada, Wisconsin, and Michigan (light blue states on the map). If he does that, he hits 270 electoral votes – the bare minimum needed to take the White House. Joe Biden has defeated President Donald Trump in battleground Wisconsin, securing the state’s 10 electoral votes and reclaiming a key part of the blue wall that slipped away from Democrats four years ago. The victory for Biden bumps him up to 248 electoral votes, and Trump has 214. It takes 270 to win the presidency. I strongly feel like Biden will win this presidency but Trump still has some pathways to victory but sources are saying we won’t know until possibly Friday. I don’t like either candidate, but I feel like Joe Biden is the best candidate for this country. I like some of his views including that he is pro-choice and wants women to be able to make decisions about their OWN body instead of him making the choices. I like that he is raising taxes for people that make over $400,000 because it wasn’t fair that some wealthy people weren’t paying taxes. I like how he is very open-minded and puts people before himself. He uses empathy. He wants justice for the people that aren’t being served with it including Breonna Taylor. I like how Joe Biden has a plan for Covid-19. Joe Biden plans to strip the Trump administration’s immigration policy. He wants everybody to be equal. He supports LGBTQ+. I like that he cares about people’s lives more than money.

The Scarlet Ibis

"The Scarlet Ibis" is a sad story about a disabled little boy that despite his disability learned to walk. The story is sad but it's a really good story. It has a lot of life lessons that are forgot about in today's time. One of those in which are showing the relationship of the older brother and the younger brother with disabilities (doodle). First it wasnt so good because the older brother felt ashamed about doodle having disabilities and then there relationship started to progress because the older brother was trying to teach him to do simple everyday tasks like (walking) and there bond started to become tighter.

Love versus pride

In beginning of "The Scarlet Ibis" Brother takes pride in Doodles achievements, and this sense of pride becomes a major motivation for his actions throughout “The Scarlet Ibis.” He gradually acknowledges that he only helps his brother out of a sense of pride, and that this pride leads him to behave selfishly. Doodle’s parents exhibit a different kind of pride from Brother. As Doodle makes progress, they express genuine pride in his accomplishments. Although they mean well, this expression of pride causes Doodle to push himself in unhealthy ways to win the love and approval of his family. Brother's memory of Doodle is a labor of love he undertakes at the risk of not loving himself enough.

Memory and the past

"The Scarlet Ibis" begins with the narrator thinking back. He is reminded of events from his past with doodle, and the changing of seasons from summer to fall is what triggered his memories. the Brother tells the story in the past tense, and explicitly shows that it's a memory of something that happened in his past. Memories of his time with Doodle are sometimes sweet, and sometimes really painful, for some of the readers. At times we think he's driving himself mad with memory. That he lives in the past, ruled by mistakes he can't change. On a happier note, we also explore the possibility that memory can be used to understand and cope with the moments in our life that hurt, but that we don't ever want to forget.

Universal theme

I think the universal theme is " The sense of pride becomes a major motivation for people's actions and that memory can be used to understand and cope with the moments in our life that hurt"

3 steps to becoming a happier person

Step 1: Don’t compare yourself to others

This generation is growing up with social media and technology.Being on social media it’s very easy to get caught up in comparing your life to somebody else’s. You have to remember that a post does not show someone's real life. Sometimes somebody can post pictures that make their life look great but in reality, they can be going through something you may not even know about. Even if they ARE actually happy, that doesn’t make your life less valuable. Instead, go spend time with your friends or do something that makes you happy. Always remember that there is more to life than social media.

Step 2: Adjust you attitude

It’s impossible to have a challenge-free life, but your attitude makes all the difference with how you respond to life’s challenges. Positive thinking means how you approach difficulties with a positive outlook. It doesn’t mean you avoid or push away unpleasant experiences, but that you see the best in situations.Thinking positively means reminding yourself that negative events are temporary and opportunities to learn and grow. Instead of dwelling on the negative aspects, look for ways to learn from each situation. For example, don’t think negatively when you walk to work and it always rains. Use this experience to learn: it may be time to invest in an umbrella and some rain boots.

Step 3: Avoid living in the past

Maybe something happened that you regret, or you wonder if you could have done something differently. Don’t allow yourself to enter the non-existent time warp. Ruminating on past events can lead to a cycle of negative thoughts, depression and anxiety.Instead, use the situation to problem solve any future problems and reflect on how you can respond differently. There is no changing the past, but you can change the future.
